On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Foster a Culture of Wellbeing: Explain how normalising unpleasant emotions and providing quality social support creates a "Coping School" environment where students and staff can thrive
- Implement the Support Framework: Demonstrate the Care · Collaborate · Connect steps to provide a consistent, strengths-based approach that prevents students from becoming overwhelmed.
- Support the Achievement of Developmental Competencies Identify and support the growth of the four core competencies—Healthy Identity, Emotional and Behavioural Regulation, Interpersonal Skills, and Problem-Solving Skills—enabling children to navigate life's inevitable challenges.
- Guide Practical Problem-Solving Use a structured six-step model to help students resolve difficulties and learn to solve problems independently.
- Bridge Support and System Identify the conditions necessary to maintain a Coping School, ensuring that individual support aligns with the broader goal of community wellbeing.
