Perinatal Wellbeing

The perinatal period is a critical window for the health and wellbeing of women, infants, and families. Health professionals who support women during pregnancy and after birth are well placed to notice when someone is upset or distressed — and to provide the kind of support that makes a real difference. This course equips midwives and obstetricians with the knowledge and skills to provide consumer-centred support to women and their families during the perinatal period, to prevent overwhelming distress and suicide.
